Cambs Cup - Dominant 1st round win
Royston U15s travelled to Peterborough with a skeleton squad and one substitute available - the boys knew they'd have to work hard for a full 70 minutes.
The game quickly settled into a physically challenging pattern with Peterborough sending in strong one-up runners which our forwards needed to neutralise, but we tackled hard and continually until we frustrated Peterborough's game.
Excellent work by the forwards in the maul allowed us to gain a lot of ground and fast ball from the rucks was quickly spread wide through the backs resulting in well worked tries on the wings.
In the end our game proved to be too much for Peterborough and Royston ran in six tries to one with two outstanding conversions from the touch line.
Congratulations to Joseph, our 'Man of the match' - he demonstrated excellent skills on the wing and scored a superb try.
