Luton visit Royston

Luton visited Royston and from their performance against us they seem to be improving rapidly over the season. The game was very competitive with the first 15 minutes resulting in 2 tries a piece. After that Royston's defence and contact work improved and the team managed to keep Luton at bay for the rest of the game with and additional 2 tries being scored.

We were committed and strong in the ruck area protecting our own ball. We also saw very good interplay between the players (forwards and backs) which created opportunities for the team. Our attack and defence shape is improving with each game and this is backed by solid defensive set especially against some big Luton players.

The players were good in their option selections with some nice exits out of their own 22 which was nice to see how they are working out their own strategies.

Thanks to Luton for coming over. It was the first time we played them and the game was played in a very good spirit.
