U16s - Match centre

Ladies Golf day (end of season party)
Sat 6 May 15:00 - Friendly

u16s ladies golf day proved a roaring success

Whaddon golf centre hosts the u16s end of season party.

The u16s no how to dress for a party. Posh frocks and trowels of makeup abound ready to play for the Muirfield Plate. The competition was close with a fine display from Miss Howorth Snr and the incredibly small clubs. The plate was won by Miss M Green, although a complaint was lodged of unfairness due to unfettered access to the course. The matter was swiftly over turned. Miss Livingstone picked up the top try scorer award for the season.
A number of awards were presented with Miss R Rees collecting the best dressed, Miss Burlton best dancer, Miss Howorth Jnr best legs, Miss Hale best twin set and Miss Vale prettiest.
HHJ Bateman sat through a full session of the seasons wrong doings which included wilful damage to club property and NHS hall of fame Miss E Rees, improper dress Miss Livingstone, forgetfulness on the try line Miss Jones, offensive items in handbag Miss Townsend Jnr, living in the 80s Miss Raymen. the list went on and on
We all hope Miss Bateman has a speedy recovery from the nasty kick she received from that beastly horse and wish her all the best as she embarks on a great adventure in the Marines. She also won a prize for the best at leading a charge this season.
Sadly debutant Miss Adam fled the ball early, only a top remained (to add to the collection of kit Miss Adam has forgotten). Some say the magic from her fairy god mother wore off at 1700 and she would turn into an ugly duckling, others say she knew that the amount of wrong doing over the entire season was so great that HHJ Bateman might banish her to that other place to be raised by Kangeroos, but we all know that she deserted her team mates to run into the arms of another.
In all a great season;
Maintained Division 2 status for next season
Cambridgeshire County Plate winners 2017
Eastern Counties Plate winners 2017
Some of our proudest moments this season have been when this small squad of players, depleted by injury, have stood shoulder to shoulder and fought with passion and endeavour to the end. They can lose a game of rugby, but you would not think it, by how loud the singing is from their changing room.
A great bunch full of fun who have the potential for better next year.
Awards Day next week and on behalf of all the coaches good luck in your exams!
