League win away at Tabard

Royston U15s travelled to Tabard for the fourth league game of the season with the aim of keeping their 100% win record intact.

This was our first game back after Christmas and it began with Tabard matching Royston in both the forwards and backs; we looked rusty in the first exchanges of the game. As the half continued, the Royston game plan came together and backs and forwards linked very well to finish the first half with three tries to Tabards one.

In the second half Royston took full control of the game, running in a further seven tries. The forwards dominated the breakdown which allowed the backs to play a fast running game that Tabard couldn't defend.

This result keeps us at the top of the league with maximum bonus points.
