Shelford travelled to Royston for a Cambridgeshire cup game we knew would be tough. Our squad hit by injury and absence meant the boys had to play very hard to stay in the game.
The first half was scoreless with much of the early pressure coming from Royston. Despite most of the first half played in the Shelford half we were unable to convert pressure into points.
The coaches were really impressed with the 'never give up' attitude of the boys and it was summed up by the last few minutes when we were camped out on the Shelford line but strong defence kept us out.
Congratulations to Shelford and good luck to them going forward in the competition.
