The best of friendlies

OAs were perfect hosts Sunday. Struggling to host two fixtures for B and C teams against Hitchin B and OAs B due to squad numbers they combined the fixture. Royston played Hitchin B with an experimental team without county players and Hitchin played with great spirit which kept the score down and saw them get a deserved try. Royston were reduced to 13 to keep the game balanced which finished 12-5.
Royston then played the hosts for the second game and started playing so great team rugby moving the ball through the hands. OAs came back into the game and over turned 3 Royston tries to take the lead 15-17. Royston kept to the game plan and with good ball continuity and excellent fitness levels Royston took the game up.
An enjoyable event with some good rugby and plenty of areas to work on.
