Ben Ireland freed Skipper Jacob Boyce to barge over for the first try.
Ireland converted. The game developed into a battle royal between the
forwards. Props Cameron Bonfield and James Reeder gave as good as they
got with Hooker Callum Waring winning at least four scrums against the
head. A move started by Rhys Redrup was ended by Chris Chivanganye as
he touched down after a determined run. Half time score 12 - 0. From
the first play in the second half Harry Bayford run fifty yards to
score under the posts. Ireland converted. Strong tackles by Max
Ayliffe, Luke Duncan and Dan Jones enabled Royston to press forward.
John Busher who earlier saved a try by a great hold up scored Royston's
fourth try after a typical zigzag run. Watford's forwards replied with
two tries but the strong running Steve Graham and energetic presence of
James Meacham and Dom Dunklin helped Royston to preserve their lead.
The Final will be at Old Albanians ground this Sunday.
