Royston Under 15's 24 - 14 Newmarket Under 15's

First prop Cameron Bonfield came off the back of a ruck and galloped over with a fine blindside run. Chris Chivanganye added a second after outpacing the Newmarket defence. Royston's third try came when James Meecham and Ben Ireland combined to send Harry Bayford trotting over. Ireland adding the conversion. Newmarket scored a converted try to make the score 17 - 7 at half time. Newmarket had the upper hand in the opening minutes of the second half and scored another converted try. Royston gathered themselves for an extra push with scrum half James Kirby and centres Rhys Redrup and Max Ayliffe leading the way.Skipper No 8 Jacob Boyce then forced his way over to ease Royston ahead. Ben Ireland again converting. Every squad member contributed to a fine display. Royston will meet favourites Cambridge in the next round.
