North Herts festival

We were fortunate to have nearly all of our squad available which enabled us to field 2 teams on the day. The weather was great and the matches very closely contested.

The Ravens played 3 games resulting in a win (Letchworth), draw (Datchworth) and a loss (Welwyn). All games were very close with the difference in the results at most 2 scores. Some good rugby was played by the team with very dogged scrambled defence. Our opposition proved very adept at the ruck which did put the team under pressure which they handled very well. The players created lots of opportunities through all 3 matches resulting in some lovely tries and some we were not quite able to finish off. Well done to Josh M, Luke, Josh CE, Cody, Sean, Henry, Billy, Max F, Aurlien, Edwin, Ash and Leo.

The Crows only got to play 2 games resulting in a win (OA's) and a draw (Tabard). As with the Ravens the games were very tightly contested and the competitive spirit from both teams were on show. The players created some wonderful opportunities leading to some lovely tries, were quick to pounce on loose ball and defended very well. The defensive and attacking shape was good over the two games and they were creating wide ball which was great to see. Well done to Rory, Matthew, Alex, Aaron, Nathaniel, Max G, Owen, George, Josh W, Mac, Daniel.

In summary 10 tries scored, 5 conceded against very good opposition.We as coaches are fortunate to have a fantastic group of players that never give up, continue to apply themselves 100% and play some lovely rugby.
