THE 2015 CAMBRIDGESHIRE RFU UNDER-12s FESTIVAL

Welcome to the traditional season-opener for the mini rugby
players of the clubs in and around Cambridgeshire.
The Cambridgeshire Minis Festival is not competitive; the purpose
is to provide players and referees with a chance to get used to the new
rules of the age group they are moving into without the pressure of
winning and to provide coaches with the chance to give all of their
players a lot of game time without needing to select strong squads or
play stronger players at the expense of developing players.
Above all, the aim of this event is to allow as many boys and girls to
play and enjoy this wonderful sport of ours as possible.
Please do remember that all the referees are volunteers and doing their best.
Please also bear in mind that at this age, the RFU encourages referees to let
games ow rather than blow the whistle for every little infringement.
Everyone connected with Cambridgeshire RFU hopes you
enjoy the day and take home some great memories.

Each team is scheduled to play four matches of eight minutes each way with two minutes for half time;
no player is allowed to play more than 70 minutes in total.
Every team is scheduled to rest between matches; please ensure you use that time to get to the
correct pitch for your next match. If matches can start ahead of the scheduled time, please do so.
The clubs involved in each match should decide between themselves which side is to provide a referee.
