On Sunday Royston made the journey down to Watford RFC, for their second pool match of the season.
Watford was an unknown quantity, as Royston had never played them in the past.
Royston started the match well by releasing M Depetrillo down the wing for an opening 'try'. It was not all that easy though as Watford, picked themselves up and constructed a 'try' through their forwards.
This was the format for most of the match with Royston coming off the best, as tackle, after tackle, went in to the large Watford forwards, stopping them in their tracks. Unfortunately Watford had no answer to Royston's wingers, who scored many tries down the wing.
Just before the final blow of the whistle, our hooker (K Thorne) manage to plough his way past several Watford players to score in the corner, for his first pool match 'try'.
Royston came away with a hard fought win, which flattered Royston.
Thanks Watford for a great game!
