Royston 2’s suffered a tale of woe against Hackney III’s at The Heath. Despite beating their opponents earlier in the season, Royston lacked the cohesion to dominate Saturday’s match. The first 20 minutes of the game saw the Crows inside the Hackney 22, making consistent attacks, but failing to cross the line. After their tireless efforts and some great defence by Hackney, Royston were awarded a penalty giving them three points. These were to be the only points of the game for the Crows, as the game ebbed back and forth with Hackney and Royston both putting together offensives. Hackney capitalised on their attacks, scoring two tries and kicking a huge penalty from the half way line. Royston on the other hand suffered from poor decision making and a lack of cohesion that ultimately cost them the match, Hackney walking away with a 15-3 victory.
