Royston 1st XV travelled to face London Welsh Druids in their second game since the Christmas break. The Crows were on the back of a huge victory of Wasps amateur and were hoping to continue the run. Continually attacked the Welsh line throughout the game, however could not recreate the success of the previous week. Time and again through Crows looked to have the advantage, handling errors were made, poor decisions undertaken and the attack ran out of steam. Royston’s woes didn’t end there, as their efforts were further hampered by some questionable decisions that saw a total of 5 yellow cards and one red handed out during the match, with the Crows being on the receiving end of most of the decisions. Despite their best efforts, the Royston men could not manage to topple the determined Welsh, finally losing the game 13 -7.
