January starts with a bang

Royston 1st XV kick started the second half of the season with a massive win over Wasps Amateurs, showing that the Christmas break has not slowed their march up Herts/Middlesex 1. The cold weather and strong wind should have pegged a slow-paced game; however, this was not to be the case. The first half saw The Crows make repeated, successful attacks against the Wasps line that saw the scoreboard constantly ticking over. Royston had a decisive 50-point lead by the end of the first half, with Wasps desperately looking for a way back in to the game. The second half saw Royston take measure of the game, scoring consistently and ensuring Wasps had no chance of getting back into the game. The final whistle spelled ultimate defeat for Wasps, suffering a 73-0 defeat to The Crows.
