Tries aplenty don't bring victory

Royston 1st XV travelled down to Hackney Marshes to face Old Streetonians who were sitting just above the Crows in Herts/Middlesex 1. The game was always going to be a tough contest, with both sides looking to continue their push for the top of the league. The game was free scoring with both sides making decisive attacks at the opposition line. Royston scored a total of 6 tries in the game, with Ben Ritsema, Jacob Boyce, Matt Muirhead, John Brain, and Joe Butcher (x2) all getting glory, however the plethora of Royston tries proved in vain, as the Old Street boys found gaps in the Royston defence, scoring a total of eight tries to win the match. Royston will look to work hard during the week ahead of Saturdays Cup game.
