Royston 1st XV travelled Barnet to face their longstanding rivals Barnet Elizabethans 1sts. The game was crucial for the Crows, who were looking to settle old scores, and continue their push for promotion. The game proved tough to start, but the hard work and dedication shown by the players in training paid off. Barnett looked threatening throughout the game, however the Royston defence remained solid. Barnett managed to cross the line once, the try then being converted. It was Royston that dominated the game, consistently scoring tries throughout the game, with Jacob Boyce picking up a hat-trick with his lightning quick footwork. The final whistle saw Royston winning the game 36-7. This has put the Crows in to 4th place in the league, showing they are serious contenders for the title. Next week they face 3rd place Old Streetonians at the Heath, a challenge that should make for an exciting game.
