Royston came out powerfully, putting huge pressure on the Welsh from the kick off. Building phases, Royston made some serious ground, looking to shift the ball wide and let the backs loose. Royston continually attacked the London Welsh line, with Will Dacey and Ben Ritsema both scoring twice, and Nick Alford picking up one. Royston made one error while in their own half, conceding a penalty that allowed the Welsh to kick their first and only points of the game. Once again Will Dacey kicked well missing only one of his 5 conversion attempts. The second half could have seen the Crows even further in the lead, however they focussed their efforts on maintaining their position and avoiding errors. The full time whistle saw Royston victorious 33-3. Coach Mick Jones was elated over the performance with the Crows proving they have what it takes to win the Herts/Middlesex 1 league. Next week they will travel away to face London French, hoping to build on the great work undertaken in training.
