A fine finish to 2018 for Crows Colts

Royston unleash the backs in a first half display of running rugby.
In a game where the prevailing weather conditions meant that one side would have a destinct advantage, neither team chose to exploit it. Both teams played with adventurous spirit and preferred to run rather than kick. The wind did make it difficult to clear the lines when at the road end.
The game started and got stuck between the two 10 meter lines with both teams defences preventing any deep forages into the opposition half. Once Royston opened their account, their confidence grew and the backs were able to exploit broken field created by the forwards.
Royston lead at half time 33-0. The change of ends would see Royston tested against the conditions and the fresh legs Bury could deploy.
The second half saw Bury get two scores and their belief increased. The game became fractious as both sides became frustrated and suffered as a spectacle. Both teams got back to playing and scores from both sides saw the result 45-22
Overall a good game with both sides having some areas to work on
