Surprise visit by Herts recognises the good on field practices to prevent covid transmission. More vigilance requested off field.

"Thank you to all of the coaches and Covid volunteers whose work to maintain a safe training environment was recognised by Herts Rugby. Well done!"
- Bryan Turner

With the return to rugby commencing on 29 March, Herts Rugby undertook an impromptu visit to the Heath on Sunday 4th April to review our covid procedures. Herts Rugby were delighted by the number of happy, smiling ruby players enjoying themselves on the Heath, as well as the precautions that all of the coaches and players were taking to ensure a safe playing environment for all. A special thanks to all of the coaches and Covid officers for their role in achieving this. This achievement is great recognition of the work done.

One area of weakness relates to off field gatherings of parents, spectators and the general public on the Heath. To keep a safe environment we need to maintain our high on field standards as well as ensuring that all parents and spectators maintain the appropriate social distancing on the sidelines. Please could all spectators and parents maintain this themselves and help the coaches and covid officers to keep their focus on the players on the field. If requested to increase your distance to ensure that we are meeting with the off field covid guidelines as well as the on field guidelines.

Please do not hesitate to contact your coaches or covid officers if you need any further clarification. We look forward to many more happy weekends of rugby at the Heath!
