Minibus

The club has a acquired a 17 seat minibus which is for the use of all sections of the club. The club took the opportunity to buy the minibus to encourage a team spirit when travelling to away games and to cut down on car use/parking space required. The minibus can be used for club business only and is not available for personal use of any club member.

To book the minibus team admins must insert a fixture into pitchero under the minibus team page with the age group and time of booking. In the event of multiple bookings priority will be given to the longer journey.

In order to Drive the minibus the driver must be over 30 years of age (a condition of the insurance) and have a D1 designation on your licence. Most people who passed their test before 1 Jan 1997 have this on their licence automatically, if you passed your test after this you would need to do an additional test.

Please do the DVLA licence checker to confirm your eligibility. https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence . Please forward your completed for to Vicky Green/Niall Tallis, the club will consider valid for one year, then the check must be resubmitted.

For youth age groups u13+ there must be a qualified driver and at least one club DBS checked chaperone on board. For mini age groups a parent or guardian must be present for each child.

For adult age groups a second qualified and non drinking driver is recommended, in case of injury to the first driver.

Those who book the minibus will be told where it is parked and given the keys. The bus takes diesel, please email receipts for fuel to Vicky Green.

We are looking into ways of reducing the weight by removing the roof rack which might make the bus drivable by those on a standard car license. But for now all drivers need a D1 qualification.

All users should be aware of the following safety information before using the minibus.
